Hiking techniques - safe walking and correct use of hiking poles

Do you want to get to know and experience nature by hiking consciously and safely, but above all with the right hiking technique? Have you seen other nature enthusiasts using poles and would you like to try them out? Then this short afternoon hike, in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Vallunga and Chedul Valley, which are both unique in their kind, is just the thing for you.
Indeed, hiking in the mountains is a very complete physical activity, which is very healthy and of great benefit for strengthening the joints and the back. All this in direct contact with nature and at the same time affordable for everyone. It has also proven to be an excellent activity to get rid of a few extra kilos easily.
Walking is a natural, innate movement, yet walking should always be adapted to the conditions of the terrain. To walk up, down or across very steep terrain or particularly slippery ground, it is not enough to put one foot in front of the other: You need a minimum of walking technique.
Together with our local certified hiking guide Patrick, you will become better acquainted with the various hiking techniques that will enable you to tackle your next hikes in greater safety, but above all with less effort. You will also learn the correct use of trekking poles and discover the great advantages they offer for ascents and descents when used correctly.
This "full immersion course" in a unique mountain environment, is the fastest way to acquire the basic techniques to apply them in your future mountain tours and hikes.
By request, we will also deal with the topics of successful tour planning, emergency management as well as meteorology in the mountains.
