The assessment of the degree of difficulty is always a bit subjective. In order to help you find and select the right tour for you, we would like to make your choice easier with our categorization.

Hiking MTB & E-Bike

Hiking

●○○○○ very easy
These are easy and short hikes, with a huge amount of time to discover the sights along the way. These walks take us along well-kept country lanes, meadows or small back roads, and mostly flat paths, which makes the activity the perfect choice for those who have none or little experience. There are no special requirements for equipment for this kind of hike, also suitable with sneakers and with children.

The simplest form of hiking only uses wide, well-maintained paths. Mostly in flat, slightly inclined terrain - without exposed sections. There are no special requirements for equipment for this kind of hike - also suitable with sneakers but surefootedness is required. Trekking shoes are recommended.

Most of the time, the terrain can be uneven or hilly, and there are a few ascents and descents to overcome. These hikes are ideal if you have little hiking experience, but you still need a good physical condition. In the mountains, the paths run over well-developed and signposted hiking trails. Good trekking shoes are necessary and good surefootedness is required.

●●●●○ medium-difficult
The routes of a moderately difficult hike are suitable for people with hiking experience. The hiking trails can lead over unpaved, sometimes rough terrain, with more and steeper ascents and descents. In the mountains there are often narrow paths that run at medium altitude. You should be sure-footed and reasonably free from giddiness and should have no problems with medium heights. Good trekking shoes are a prerequisite.

The tours of a difficult hike are characterized by long routes and / or challenging ascents and descents. The ground can be rocky, unpaved, and difficult to walk. For these hikes you should have good hiking skills and a very good physical condition. In the mountains there are steep, exposed and partly rope-insured mountain paths. You should be absolutely free of vertigo. Good trekking shoes are necessary and very good surefootedness is required.

MTB & E-Bike Tours

●○○○○ very easy
It is a tour that requires minimal physical effort and suits for all cyclists. The mileage is limited and the uphill and downhill gradient is minimal. The bike ride takes place on paved roads which are basically in good condition, the route is free from technical difficulties.

●●○○○ easy
These are trails without particular difficulties. The route runs through the forest and over meadows with non-slip natural soil or solidified gravel. Steps, rocks or root passages are not to be expected. Some short, slightly steeper sections are possible, but can be done by any average cyclist.

●●●○○ medium
It is either a long tour or one with various steep sections, moderate training is a prerequisite. Here you have to expect minor obstacles such as flat roots and small stones. More demanding passages require measured braking and body shifting. Basic technical skills are required.

●●●●○ medium-difficult
This is a long and tiring tour on dirt paths or mule tracks, you have to expect larger roots and stones. The soil is often not solidified. Steps and flat stairs as well as tight curves are present most of the time. You have to be prepared to brake at any time and shifting the body's center of gravity. Precise metering of the brakes and constant body tension as well as good physical fitness and advanced driving skills are required.

Demanding tours that are characterized by long routes and / or challenging ascents and descents. The tour takes mainly place on forest roads and rough terrain; the path is lined with obstacles such as rock steps, stones and roots. Repeated slippery ground and loose rubble, sections with jumps and leaps, mostly in alpine terrain, characterize this tour. It includes, push passages or with bikes on the shoulder. Excellent control of the vehicle is required.
